“Follow after God, no matter what.” 

Al Stith Sr, a lover of God, God’s people, and a good game of Chess, was called to church leadership while working with the Department of Labor in support of the Job Corps Program. At the time, he was serving as an assistant pastor at a local church, but he felt a strong urge to move to another level of ministry. He compares it to his father calling him to come home and do something while he was outside playing. Just as obeying his father’s call was more important than whatever he was doing at the time, obeying the Call of God took precedence over working at the Department of Labor and being an assistant pastor- although he had no idea what answering that call would mean or where it was going to take him.

Throughout his time as a Christ-follower, Pastor Stith has been a youth leader, a Sunday school teacher, and even a choir director. He’s served as Pastor of The Well (formerly Word of Life Church) for over 10 years, and he’s still contagiously excited about God. He says he lives out his faith by praying regularly, reading his Bible, living life the way Jesus did, and sharing the good news about Jesus. He believes his job as a pastor is to teach people about God’s Word and to make sure everyone knows that they’re each important in the Kingdom of God. 

Pastor Stith lives in Dale City with his beautiful wife, Patricia. They have 7 children and 5 grandchildren.
